Leoria Moore Someone once told me that the really great shots occur when the camera happens to get between you and the emotion that is evoked by what you are seeing. That statement really personifies what I want my art to show. My aim is to be able to share the power of the scene, through not only the visual of the photography but to have that visual also elicit that same wondrous emotion that made me want to capture the shot in the first place. Every opportunity offers someone the chance for the elusive great shot. I like to treat each opportunity as an opportunity to learn something new, to experience a new adventure, an endeavor to capture the sensation of the moment into a single photo. To hear a viewer express a sense of feeling such as a heart felt sigh, a soft chuckle, then I know I have been a little bit successful in capturing that elusive thing that makes for a great shot. But more important was the experience of getting there. |
