Dear Friends,
We are pleased to announce the next
show at Image City Photography Gallery.
The featured artist is Matthias Finke,
an excellent young professional
photographer, with his exhibit "America
through a German's Eye". A native of
Germany, Matthias picked up a camera in
the late 1990's and in 2004 started his
career as a professional photographer.
After two years freelancing in Germany
and one year in Boston, he has located
in Rochester. He defines himself as an
"all-rounder", who covers work with
people, nature and the stock market.
Matthias describes his exhibit "The
photographs in this show range from the
intimate, colorful streets of San
Francisco, to the towering golden rock
monuments in Utah, and the enchanting
coastal regions of New England... the
style may leave you wondering whether
you are looking at a painting or a
photograph." Matthias will discuss his
work at an Artist's Talk on Wednesday,
June 25 at 7pm, mark your calendar!
The exhibit is further enhanced
by the work of thirteen
photographers -- Guest
Photographers Peter Sucy, Paul
Baker, Tom Barker, and Joel
Krenis; Artists-in-Residence Gil
Maker, Jim Patton, and David
Perlman; and Gallery Partners
Dan Neuberger, Betsy Phillips,
Gary Thompson, Phyllis Thompson,
Sheridan Vincent, and George
Wallace. Peter Sucy will be
exhibiting in the East Gallery
and will also have several
creative and illuminated
lenticular photographs.
The opening reception is on
Friday, June 20 from 5 to 8:30pm
