A light wind blows across the bay as the catboats tack abeam of it. The gaff-rigged sail and forward mast require considerable skill by the sailor to manage the boat in the changeable New England weather. While under sail, the catboats provide a colorful and interesting picture as they glide across the smooth waters of Nantucket Bay.
