Meet the Jurors for Portfolio Showcase 2013

This year we are excited to announce that we have two distinguished judges for the Portfolio Showcase 2013, Christine Heusner and Professor Andrew Davidhazy! Christine and Andrew will determine the eight winners from all of the excellent submissions that we receive.

Christine Heusner is a Lecturer in Media Sciences. She received her B.A. in Art with a concentration in photography from Elmira College and her M.F.A in Imaging Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology. Christine is an exhibiting artist and her digital and photographic work has been shown nationally and internationally in public exhibitions. Prior to RIT, she worked in photographic studios specializing in commercial, and portrait photography, design, and fine-art printing. Christine has been an invited lecturer, panelist, and artist at a number of photographic events and develops and presents workshops about digital imaging and photography.
Professor Andrew Davidhazy retired from the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology after 45 years of service. While specializing in high speed, photoinstrumentation, ballistic, forensic, infrared, ultraviolet and various other scientific and technical aspects of photography he is almost equally active in the application of technical imaging concepts to aesthetic purposes. He has lectured and exhibited widely and his writings have been published in numerous books, articles and journals worldwide. He was the Kodak Inaugural Visiting professor to Australia in 1992 and has also been an exhibitor and guest lecturer at photographic and educational institutions in Argentina, Sweden, France, Brazil and many other societies and organizations. He is a recipient of the Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching at RIT and is a Fellow of the Society for Imaging Science and Technology and the International Society for Optical Engineering.
